This is the MOST valuable TIP you’ll hear when you’re about to hire your website provider.
It applies in both cases, whether it’s a freelancer or an agency.
I’ve been in the web world for over 15 years, and you have no idea how many clients have come to me asking for help — with horror stories just because they didn’t listen to this tip.
The tip for hiring your website is:
Whatever you do, don’t let the freelancer or agency buy your website domain. That means www.tupagina.com or .mx or .net etc. You should buy it yourself…
If you don’t want to complicate things, let the agency handle the hosting of your website, but NEVER the domain. That has to be yours.
It’s really easy to buy it since there are thousands of providers like:
- godaddy
- Neubox
- Tuempresa
- Hostgator
- Etc
And honestly, buying a domain is super easy.
Now you know, when the time comes, don’t give your user and password to the person creating your site.
Instead, give them the DNS so they can manage your domain without having FULL control over it.
If your freelancer or web agency currently has your domain and you want to know how to protect your user and password, and also change the setting to only provide DNS access, just comment
“Tell me”
in the comments on our Instagram video and I’ll gladly explain it in another vlog.
It’s super easy.
On another note, don’t forget to subscribe so I can explain EVERYTHING I can about technology.
