BenQ Monitor – Gadgets and Software (Part 2)

Another tech purchase that was definitely beneficial for me in 2023 was the BenQ monitor GW2785TC.

Why?

Because at Nubetia I spend a lot of time on the internet, programming, analyzing lines of code, or handling day-to-day tasks.

This results in guaranteed eye strain and pain. Fortunately, every problem has a solution.

So, after doing some research, I found a monitor outside of the typical “Gamer” category that solved this issue.

But why outside of the typical or Gamer monitor?

For example,

To watch YouTube videos or play games, you need one kind of visual effort to perceive colors or graphics.

But on the other hand, reading from a monitor requires your eyes to make an extra effort.

That’s why in these cases a specialized monitor is recommended.

Why BenQ?

And that’s where I found this GREAT solution from BENQ.

If you visit the USA website, BenQ’s recommendation is clearly explained. However, on the BenQ Mexico site, it’s not presented the same way.

But don’t worry, I’ll show it to you here.

And just like this CODE mode, there are other very beneficial ones for your eyes depending on how you use the monitor, such as:

  • Care Mode,
  • Reading,
  • ePaper,
  • Standard,
  • Low Blue Light Plus
  • etc

Another interesting feature is that it automatically detects ambient light and adjusts its brightness accordingly.

I made this purchase because it became extremely difficult to spend more than 3 hours in front of a monitor — my eyes would hurt or demand rest.

This became a real challenge in my daily routine to maintain productivity.

In the end, I decided, bought it, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it.

I highly recommend it to my fellow internet colleagues… (and no, this is not sponsored).

Alternatives to the BenQ Monitor

There was another monitor that’s also worth checking out. But it’s about twice the price. In short, it has the following pros:

  • It’s more aesthetic
  • The color is white
  • It has MacBook Pro mode… (which I believe is the best) because it helps you not feel a difference between your MacBook screen and your external monitor.
