What to Do in Case of an Intrusion?

  1. The first thing we have to do is change the router password. Important: set a SECURE password, as I explain in this other blog: LINK RECOMMENDED PASSWORDS
  2. The second thing we have to do is replace our encryption with WPA2/PSK
  3. After changing the NETWORK key, we must change the name to something like ” ” (a space).
  4. The next step is to hide our NETWORK name using the option: Hide ESSID
  5. Then we will change the router’s default factory channel. It is usually on channel 6, try setting it to a higher channel. This will also make our internet faster.
